This family of five (husband, wife, & three children) have been suffering from
the riveting effects of breast cancer for the past ten months. Throughout the
ordeal, they have managed to keep their children attending school regularly,
work, and stay active in the Mt. Washington community. However, they are now facing tremendous financial pressure, and possible eviction from their home (see files below). Mounting healthcare costs, missed time from work, and the rising costs of living (gasoline, food, energy, etc.) has made it nearly impossible for them to keep up. Our organization is reaching out to members of the community, and beyond, for assistance to keep this family in their home, and help them continue to provide the basic necessities for raising a family and fight this horrible disease. Assistance in any amount will help keep this family together with a roof over their head, and food on the table. We are hoping that our community will come together and rescue this family. It is a shame that our nation has not embraced this concept. However, it is our belief that our Mt. Washington community will be a precedent for which our nation can & should follow. Let's come together for our neighbor, and prove that in Mt. Washington we truly believe that 'We are our brother's keeper'! | |
